But thats were the problem is, since the server is not downloading maps via the Steam workshop but trough a fastDL server, we only need the .bsp files. I've tried to do some google searches, but couldn't find all the kz maps that we want to download. Gamebana has only a few maps to download (like 33 maps).

When you download a custom map, whether off a website or a server, you download the .bsp. The .bsp is only playable in TF2 and not in Hammer, whereas you can only open the .vmf in hammer
BSP files are handled by both server and client, because both need a certain subset of the map information to perform their respective tasks. It is remote attack surface because the client will download unknown maps from the server on a server-initiated map executable installers (files with an .EXE extension) archives (files with a .ZIP or .RAR extension) Note: It is important that you only download packaged maps from reputable game resource sites. If the download is not from a site that you trust, do not install it. not sure why it might have happend but if you do delete the map when you next connect to a server running that map it should download it for you. de_dust.bsp? BSP Viewer; Finding Valve Maps. Most maps do not need to be extracted, as they are located in the file system rather than VPK. The map files are normally located in a maps folder, for example common\Team Fortress 2\tf\maps\ holds all the official Team Fortress 2 maps.
